RCE Szczecin Lagoon
Regional Center of Excellence for Education for Sustainable Development of the United Nations University
RCE Stettiner Haff was founded in 2017 after the region south of the Szczecin Lagoon was awarded the status of a recognized Regional Center of Excellence for Sustainable Development of the United Nations University. This makes the region the first RCE in eastern Germany and, like the other six German networks, is dedicated to education for sustainable development (ESD).

From the organic farm to the dinner plate
The argument in favor of industrial agriculture methods is that we have to feed as many people as possible. But farmers in the Bioboden cooperative, which was founded in 2009, focus on eco-friendly agriculture, conservation and animal welfare. They work with start-ups to modernize agriculture and make it more appealing.
Vision of the RCE Szczecin Lagoon
The basis of the cooperation is a common vision on education for sustainable development. This vision focuses on regional problems and challenges in the context of education, sustainability and regional development.
