The Rothenklempenow World Acre

Initiated in 2017, the 2000m² educational project illustrates how global arable land is used, how much our future depends on our use of arable land and how the behavior of individuals affects the fields here and elsewhere in the world. In guided tours, our educational advisors give the arable land a voice and address the most pressing ecological and social challenges of our time.

Through the partnership with the neighboring Demeter farm of the Landgesellschaft Rothenklempenow the knowledge gained from the world field can be transferred to real agriculture. Participation in a field tour; processing fresh vegetables in the Weltackerhaus; visiting the cattle herds of the farm community: the Weltacker Rothenklempenow offers a variety of opportunities to get closer to the topic of agriculture.

From the field to the taco

The World Field is organized by a small core group and made possible with the help of volunteers. From right to left in the picture:

Pablo Melotta (Education officer and project coordination)

Pablo Melotta is a graduate of the Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development in the department of " Landscape Use & Nature Conservation ". During his studies, he gained experience in environmental education as a youth camp counselor. As a participant in the ResidenZ - Time for the Future Program, he came to Rothenklempenow where he is still active today as an education officer for the RCE Stettiner Haff. In addition to educational work, Pablo is also responsible for funding applications, graphic design and updating the website for the Weltacker project.

Uta Zahn (cultivation and education)

Uta Zahn has a degree in agricultural engineering, has been an organic gardener for 25 years and is now a consultant for education on sustainable development. At her seminar center in Woddow, she demonstrates sustainable gardening and soil
and soil cultivation for farmers and hobby gardeners alike. She is also a nature guide in the Uckermark Lakes Nature Park and around her home towns in the Uckermark.
